Key Responsibilities
As a Seasonal Sales Assistant, you will be expected to deliver exceptional customer service, manage inventory, assist with daily store operations, and contribute to maintaining the store’s professional appearance. Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day:
Customer Service & Sales
- Acknowledge and greet every customer within 30 seconds of entering the store.
- Provide excellent service by understanding and addressing customer needs.
- Use your product and technical knowledge to recommend appropriate footwear, apparel, and accessories.
- Secure additional sales by suggesting related products.
- Monitor your sales performance regularly throughout the day to meet personal sales targets.
Inventory Management
- Replenish stock from the storeroom daily to ensure the store is well-stocked.
- Minimize stock losses by adhering to store zoning policies and change room protocols.
- Ensure that stock entries into the Point of Sale (POS) system are accurate.
- Handle deliveries by verifying quantities against invoices, tagging, pricing, and ensuring the stock is properly recorded.
- Process customer orders efficiently.
Daily Operations
- Assist with store cleanliness, including dusting, cleaning mirrors, vacuuming, and tidying changing rooms.
- Help the store manager with opening and closing procedures.
Training & Development
- Take responsibility for your own training and development.
- Learn from your assigned buddy and attend quarterly training sessions.
- Set up regular feedback sessions with your manager and discuss your progress.
- Complete assessments that will help determine your eligibility for promotions.
Merchandising
- Ensure that products are displayed correctly in accordance with store standards.
- Replenish sizes and ensure that all stock is well-presented.
- Assist with window and mannequin changes every two weeks.
- Safeguard POS materials to avoid damage.
