    Position Overview

    The Student Advisor will report directly to the Head: Student Recruitment and play an essential role in recruitment and engagement. The role involves presenting The IIE’s Varsity College to prospective students, conducting interviews, assisting with applications, and driving the registration process.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Presentation Target

    • Deliver compelling presentations at targeted schools, showcasing the institution’s benefits.
    • Distribute marketing materials and generate interest among students.
    • Represent the institution at career expos and stakeholder events.
    • Achieve monthly presentation goals based on school priorities.

    2. Database Collection

    • Expand the reach of The IIE’s Varsity College by meeting monthly school database collection targets.

    3. Interview Target

    • Proactively contact prospective students to schedule interviews, meeting daily and weekly targets.
    • Respond to online and telephonic enquiries promptly.
    • Conduct student and parent interviews using a structured approach.
    • Meet individual targets for weekly, monthly, and annual interviews.

    4. Application Target

    • Assist students in completing online applications during interviews.
    • Follow up on incomplete applications to secure necessary payments.
    • Run targeted calling campaigns to convert interviews into completed applications.
    • Drive application acceptance and secure pre-registration fee payments.

    5. Registration Target

    • Facilitate the conversion of applications into registrations to meet annual campus targets.

    6. Administration and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate daily reports, including call logs, interview booking trackers, and CRM updates.
    • Ensure all interview forms are completed correctly and all applications include the required documentation.

    Competencies and Skills

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to deliver impactful presentations.
    • Friendly, tenacious, and results-driven with excellent organizational skills.
    • Effective time management and multitasking abilities.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum Requirements:
      • National Diploma (NQF6) with at least 3 years of sales experience, OR
      • National Senior Certificate with at least 5 years of sales experience.
    • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are mandatory.

    Special Conditions

    • Willingness to work extended hours during peak registration periods and events.
    • Strong ability to perform under pressure and meet ambitious targets.
