Responsibilities:
- KPA 1 – Implementation of Tourism Operational Systems: Collaborate with various teams to implement operational systems ensuring high service excellence in eco-tourism operations and guest experience.
- KPA 2 – Coordination of Key Tourism Programs: Provide on-the-ground assistance to coordinate improvement projects, maintenance, and support for product development with a focus on innovation and green technology solutions.
- KPA 3 – Internal & External Stakeholder Relationship: Maintain crucial relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support departmental strategic plans and promote the reserve’s tourism offerings.
- KPA 4 – Team Motivation: Support, motivate, and coordinate internal teams and contractors to achieve strategic operational goals effectively.
- KPA 5 – Service Excellence Standards: Ensure service excellence standards are upheld with concessionaire partnerships and external contractors. Identify new opportunities to enhance visitor experiences and reserve facilities.
Requirements:
- Formal qualification in Tourism, Hospitality, or Business-related field with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Valid Code B driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages.
- Strong communication, project coordination, time & budget management, and customer relations skills.
- Language proficiency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
- No criminal record.
Recommendations:
- Experience in an eco-tourism environment is advantageous.
- Experience managing accommodation/eco-tourism facilities is beneficial.
- Background knowledge of nature-based tourism and conservation.
- Familiarity with RoomSeeker reservations system is advantageous.
