Engineering Scheduler Job Summary
As the Engineering Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Facilities, Infrastructure, and Engineering department at the hospital. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accurate reporting and efficient operation of these departments, directly contributing to the smooth functioning of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning: Ensure efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities across the hospital’s facilities.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality rounds in the hospital to identify and resolve customer issues promptly.
- Contingency Planning: Develop and implement contingency plans for identified issues, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations.
- Time and Attendance Management: Ensure the engineering department adheres to KRONOS standards for time and attendance management.
- Contractor Management: Oversee contractor and service provider conformance, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Actively participate in meetings with hospital management, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure business continuity.
- Legislative Compliance: Ensure that the hospital and engineering departments comply with all relevant legislative requirements.
- Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with internal marketing and hospital management to address and resolve customer concerns.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards from an engineering and maintenance perspective, safeguarding patients and staff.
- Documentation Management: Design and maintain efficient filing processes and document templates for the technical department.
- Project Support: Provide administrative and project support, including risk assessments and coordination of new and upgraded facilities.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all plant equipment is serviced and maintained in good working condition, implementing remediation measures as needed.
Requirements
- Educational Background:
- Grade 12.
- Operations / Facility Management Certificate or N5 Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical fields.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a strong emphasis on hospital experience.
- Demonstrated experience in services and client management.
