Role Summary
The purpose of the GRV Clerk position is to oversee the processing and administrative functions essential to the daily operations of a SUPERSPAR store. As the first point of contact for various order and invoice-related tasks, the GRV Clerk ensures seamless data management while adhering to store policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Orders Processing
A core duty of the GRV Clerk involves managing order sheets, capturing orders received from authorized personnel, and ensuring all documents are filed correctly according to the store’s internal policies.
Invoice and GRV Capturing
The GRV Clerk matches incoming invoices to their respective orders, captures invoice details into the system, and ensures accurate verification of all data. Proper filing of documents and the presentation of complete GRV packs for review are crucial aspects of this task.
Point of Sale and Pricing Management
Maintaining accurate pricing across products and point-of-sale systems is another significant responsibility. The GRV Clerk handles price checks, updates PLU (Price Look-Up) codes, and ensures promotional pricing is correctly loaded. Tasks such as printing price labels and promotional posters are integral to this role.
Claims and Promotions Processing
Efficient processing of claims and promotional reports falls under the GRV Clerk’s purview. This includes capturing all claims accurately, filing relevant documents, and downloading promotional orders to maintain up-to-date information.
Stock and Transfers
The GRV Clerk assists in stock-taking processes by capturing counts and handling manual or internal stock adjustments. Furthermore, they record inter-departmental or inter-category transfers, manage waste transfers, and ensure accurate stock loading for new items.
Administrative Assistance
Day-to-day administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, managing store documentation, and providing general assistance, form part of the GRV Clerk’s duties. Multi-tasking and handling diverse queries effectively are vital for success in this role.
Required Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for the GRV Clerk position must meet the following minimum requirements:
