Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Artisan Fitter, your role will encompass several crucial responsibilities to support the organization’s operational needs:
1. Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ):
- Adhere to and actively participate in all SHEQ requirements as outlined in the SHEQ Toolbox.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with safety standards.
2. Customer Satisfaction:
- Uphold a high level of service excellence to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide prompt and effective feedback regarding maintenance interventions.
3. Execution of Business Processes:
- Preventative and Corrective Maintenance:
- Perform maintenance work on critical equipment, including Sub Arc Furnaces, Hydraulic Systems, Material Handling systems, and Overhead Cranes.
- Complete tasks in line with detailed work orders and task lists.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including capturing history and confirming work orders to the required standard.
- Unplanned Interventions:
- Respond to breakdowns promptly and safely, ensuring all isolation and lockout protocols are followed.
- Record and communicate data related to breakdowns to identify root causes and propose improvement strategies.
- Rotables Management:
- Manage change-out items, including creating PM orders and generating notifications.
- Handle damaged rotables responsibly, ensuring proper documentation and physical transportation to lay-down areas.
- Mobile Equipment Management:
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to lift, move, and handle loads safely.
Requirements
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be considered for the role:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or N3 qualification (4 technical subjects and 2 languages).
- At least one year of relevant technical certification.
- A Fitter Trade certification.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Advantageous Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with SAP and COUPA systems.
