Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Wholesale Sales Representative will report to the Field Sales Manager and focus on driving sales, building strong client relationships, and ensuring optimal shelf presence for AVI Limited’s products. Specific responsibilities include:
- Achieving Sales Targets: The representative will actively negotiate orders and work towards meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Managing Stock Levels: This includes overseeing returns, promotions, and ensuring accurate pricing and promotional execution.
- Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with store management and staff will be essential to success.
- Leading Merchandising Teams: Guiding and supervising merchandisers to deliver exceptional in-store performance.
Qualifications and Skills
To qualify for this role, candidates need to meet the following requirements:
- Educational Background:
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric) is mandatory.
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Retail is advantageous.
- Work Experience:
- At least three years’ experience in a Sales Representative role within the FMCG sector.
- Experience dealing with wholesale customers such as Masscash and independent wholesalers.
- Supervisory skills will be an added advantage.
- Industry Knowledge:
- A solid understanding of the FMCG industry and its operations.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel are essential for this role.
