Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Experience:
- 2 years of relevant experience in a library environment
- Skills:
- Understanding of basic cataloguing and circulation rules
- End-user computer literacy

- Diploma/Degree in Library and Information Science
Responsibilities
Member Services:
- Register New Members: Welcome and guide new patrons through the registration process, explaining library services.
- Circulation Duties: Manage the lending and returning of materials, assist with finding and reserving items, and process fines.
- Information Services: Help patrons locate information and offer basic research assistance.
Technical Support:
- Assist with Printing and Computer Usage: Help patrons with printing, photocopying, and using library computers and digital resources.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Provide basic troubleshooting for technical problems and assist with digital resources and library apps.
Library Maintenance:
- Shelve Books: Ensure materials are accurately shelved and maintain an orderly collection.
- Shelf Reading: Regularly check shelves for proper order and correct any misplacements.
- Maintain Environment: Keep library spaces clean, assist with displays, and report maintenance issues.
- Support Events: Help with event setup, coordination, and post-event cleanup.
- Monitor Materials: Inspect, repair, and process new materials, and assist with the removal of outdated items.
